Hi! For this week’s post, I wanted to go into a little bit about my current internship and the work I am doing for my first ever actual graphic design position. I was hired a few weeks ago and just started working last week.

My title is “Social Media Marketing + Graphic Design Intern”, which sounds like a lot, and in some ways, it is! I work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and on each day I do something different.

Monday, I join a call with my boss to go over my weekly expectations, how our social media is doing, and so on. I also schedule posts in advance on this day.

Wednesday, I come up with ideas for our social media content. This is the most challenging part of the job for me, but I like tapping into a skill I don’t use all that often. I am not much of a content creator or writer, but I am enjoying it so far.

Friday is design day (my favorite). I take the content ideas that my boss approved for our social media posts, and I create engaging designs for our Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin.

I am having a lot of fun creating content and designing for an actual company ! So far my internship experience has been pretty good, and I am excited to start seeing my work on their social media! 🙂
